PTFE is a fluoropolymer, normally considered a thermoplastic material, but with chemical-physical features that make specific processing techniques essential.
FLUORTEN process just virgin first quality grades PTFE pure and filled raw materials from main worldwide producers (e.g. Dyneon, DuPont, Daikin, Solexis to mention main ones) and is equipped with modern machines (extruders, presses, and controlled cycle ovens for sintering) for the production of stock shapes (tubes, rods, sheets and skived tapes ) together with advanced CNC lathes, milling and skiving machines for the production of quality technical customized finished products in small or large quantities.

Filled PTFE
To improve its already outstanding properties, when used in applications subject to stress, PTFE is modified with the addition of different fillers such as: fibre glass, graphite, ceramic, nickel, stainless steel, bronze, MoS2, polyimide etc. to improve physical, mechanical, thermal, wearing, electrical and chemical properties.

Etching of PTFE
FLUORTEN has its own plant for the etching of PTFE which complies with the most severe regulations in relation to the protection of the environment. Products in PTFE, just when etched, can be bonded to metal, rubber, etc…, with the use of epoxy resins.

RULON®
A family of special fluoropolymers PTFE compounds having extraordinary properties ideal for continuous use within a
large range of temperatures (-240 ÷ + 288° C).
Chemical resistance and the low friction ( self-lubrication properties ) make them the ideal solution for extreme applications in substitution of metal parts. Main market for RULON® products are automotive, railway, marine, industrial, heavy duty agricultural, chemical, food and pharmaceutical.
